Returns & Cancellation Policy

Ceremony Wardrobe is committed to making your rental experience as smooth and worry-free as possible. Below you'll find our policy on returns, cancellations, and defective items. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at hello@ceremonywardrobe.com

🔄 Unworn Products

If you're not happy with your dress upon receiving it and decide not to wear it, you may return it for a refund.

  • You must notify us and return the garment within 24 hours of receipt.

  • The item must be unworn, in original condition, with Ceremony Wardrobe tags still attached, and in its original packaging.

  • Once we receive and inspect the item, and it complies with the above, a refund (excluding original delivery cost and any insurance, if applicable) will be issued within 30 working days.
     

Please note:
As our dresses are one-of-a-kind and available in limited sizes, we cannot offer size swaps or exchanges. We encourage all customers to reach out prior to booking if unsure about sizing.

👗 Worn Products (End of Hire)

Please return your dress to us in acceptable condition by the final return date of your hire period.

  • Items must be returned using the pre-paid label and packaging provided.

  • Once received and inspected, your security deposit (if applicable) will be refunded within 30 working days, provided the item is returned on time and in good condition.

  • Late returns may incur a £15/day late fee, and extended delays may result in charges up to the full retail value of the item.

🧵 Defective Items

If your dress or accessory arrives with a fault or does not match your order:

  • Contact us immediately, stating the issue.

  • We will review and, if appropriate, offer a full refund or replacement.

  • Please note that normal signs of previous use (such as minor wear) are not considered defects, as our items are rented and reused.

❌ Cancellations

Before Dispatch:
You may cancel your order before dispatch by contacting us at hello@ceremonywardrobe.co.uk. A cancellation fee may apply depending on how close the request is to your hire date.

 

Distance Selling Regulations (UK only):
If your booking was made more than 7 days before your hire start date, you may cancel within 7 working days of the contract being formed (i.e., when payment was made), in accordance with your statutory rights.

 

Short-Notice Bookings:
For orders placed 7 days or less before the hire start date, your right to cancel under Distance Selling Regulations does not apply, as preparation begins immediately after booking confirmation.

📦 Returns Procedure

Please follow these steps to ensure a smooth return:

  1. Complete the Returns Form included with your order. If you’ve lost it, just email us and we’ll send another.

  2. Repack the item in its original packaging. Attach the provided return label securely to the outside of the package.

  3. Drop the parcel at your nearest Post Office or return point on or before the agreed return date.

  4. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured postal service to cover the full replacement value (listed on your item’s page).

  5. Obtain proof of postage or a tracking receipt and keep it safe—we cannot issue refunds for items we do not receive.

  6. We’ll email you once your return has been received and inspected.
